Busy times as always!
Dashcon. Went, saw, cosplayed, conquered. Not impressed with the con. But the cosplay, oh, that was fun . Does anyone think I should post picks of the cosplays, or would like to see them? I've seen some deviants put up pics, but mine arent really professional/nice...
Fiigure drawing class in 2 weeks, yay.
Not much drawing lately, unfortunately, but I'd like to get back into the habit. I really want to start working on the digital mediums more, evrything is going digital. And there's just SO much more you can to with it... And you don't have to worry about scanning/pictures! Makes prints a breeze. Anyone have any advice or tutorials for getting started with digital art? I have a tablet and paintool sai/adobe photoshop elements at my disposal, recs?
Speaking of prints, I've had a few locals ask about having a few of my pieces available as prints at shows. Does anyone know how to go about making professional prints? Is there a special scanner, or a local store (someone mentioned staples scans?), that can make prints cheaply? I'd love more info about the process, if anyone knows offhand?
Also, I was kinda wondering for those out there with what I very lovingly call "creative ADD", how do you stay focused on one medium or area of art? I find I frequently shift back and forth from colored pencils one week to watercolor the next, to writing to music to cosplay and so on, depending on my mood and interests. However this quickly becomes frustrating, as I can't seem to make any decent progress in any area... Does anyone else experience this, and if so, have any tips? Is it mainly just buckling down and determination, or is there something else that seems to help with this?
Back to work!
